Anyone know what these jumpers are for on the VIA 6421A? Not all cards have these. Google-fu and the wayback machine doesn't really turn up anything.

Also note that this is because I can't register a working SATA drive with the card, but I will flash the BIOS after posting this.

This is a guess, but I think that if all jumpers are set to 2-3 then the internal port is used; if set to 1-2 then the external port. I've seen something similar on a motherboard where a pair of jumpers connected the USB D+/- pair either to the internal header or to the socket on the back.

Yeah, those are choosing if one of the SATA ports is internal or external.

Okay, it is redundant on other similar cards because it won't work if both ports are plugged in.
