Does anyone know if the (gameport) HammerHead FX has issues with running on the “emulated” gameport on the SB Live? It works fine on my windows 98 machine with an AWE64. But doesn’t work at all on my Windows ME machine with the newer sound card. Normal game pads that don’t require a driver work fine but the HammerHead just says not connected in the control panel.

Using Audigy drivers from the zip file on Phil’s website for the live.

I've used mine with a CT4760, which is similar to your card in Windows 98SE and in Windows XP. Make sure you're using the right driver version SV-262A or SV-262 (http://falconfly.3dfx.pl/hammerhead.htm)

I never had an issue with the SV-262 (game port, 3dfx branded) and my Live 5.1 on Me back in the day, both using drivers off their discs. i'd blame this
