Are there any 'holy bibles' out there that are the definitive source?

How bout something that could be light reading material before bed type of book?

I guess if I was a purist, I'd re-read some of my old PC Mags from back in the day, since they'd have the most 'current' view of the industry.

Any issue of CGW of that era is also a good reading.

I can recommend two magazines:-

1. EDGE UK 91-96

2. The Games Machine - late '80s to early '90s

Also look up the book INVASION OF THE SPACE INVADERS by Martin Amis. Real 1982 retro stuff.
