I'm fairly new to these forums so I thought I better ask what the correct etiquette is.

I'm writing up a post on some of the secrets of the IBM MDA. It's not mega long but it is reasonably involved. Should I post a link to a blog post, or is it ok to have forum posts with lengthy discussion about such a subject?

if can be a long post but be warned about certain posters that like to quote entire posts to give a one-liner response as if this were a mailing list. (it's why I crop quotes to the relevant part i'm replying to, if i ever quote)
