I obtained an Asus Prime x299 mobo a while back. Usual disclaimer, for parts/not working/pos. I won't divulge why I made the purchase. It doesn't look too bad, a little banged up, methinks missing a heatsink on the lower right. So finally decided to give it the old 1-2. Plugged a fan into the cpu fan header. Don't knowingly own an x299 cpu, I do have 2 xeons and another blank thingamabob (all are lga 2066, physically but not electronically compatible. There are a few boards that'll run a xeon or a core series chip. But o/w you need a c422 board to run a xeon). Plug in p/s, hit the switch, immediately diodes come on all over the board and start changing colors. I then short the power button pins - and the fan starts spinning.

Now a few cpu socket pins need attention. But otherwise does this seem like a working board? Kind of seems that way to me.
