I'm looking for the 3dfx patch for Scorched Planet but it seem to have vanished from the WWW.
Does anyone happen to have it and willing to share it? 😀

Probably best bet would be to ask around over at 3dfx zone forums if anyone has it.

Thanks, I though I'd done a good googling search but hats of for your effort 😀

Seems like this patch is hard coded for an older Voodoo card

I've been doing some research on this game and it seems that the full game with 3dfx support was very rare. Many say they were bundled on two 3dfx voodoo 1 cards, the Orchid Righteous and the Diamond Monster 3D, but I have both of these cd's and they are only trial / demo versions.

From this site I found this on the Monster 3D bundle:

The Retail software bundle includes Special Monster 3D acceleration versions of Descent II Destination Quartzon by Interplay, EF2000 by DID (Digital Image Design LTD/Ocean Software), Whiplash by Interplay, VR Soccer by Interplay, MechWarrior II by Activision, and Hyperblade by Activision. Also you get Monster 3D Accererated trial versions of Scorched Planet by Criterion Studios LTD, TOMB RAIDER by EIDOS, Hellbender by Microsoft, and Monster Truck Madness by Microsoft. Also included are special "Bonus versions" of Decathlon, Captain Quazar, You Don't Know Jack, Diablo, The Neverhood, Road Rash, Fire Fight, (Hold on to Your) Nuts!, Drowned God, Ravage D.C.X., Flight Unlimited, War Wind, Free Enterprize, and Death Dome .

There are no signs of a 3dfx patch on the internet, so why do everyone mention this game as a glide 3dfx supported game? Well, according to Moody's Voodoo 2 FAQ the full 3dfx release only came in a bundled three pack with Resident Evil and Sabre Ace. This version is very rare, and it's selling on Ebay for gold price:

I can't do any testing atm with transfering the executables from the demo to the full retail release because I do not have access to my old computer, but have anyone tested this?

I can also mention that the full game supported Rendition (patch) and Matrox Mystique MSI (OEM release), so all hope is not lost when it comes to 3D acceleration.
