I've discovered an unofficial possibility to run Divine Divinity in a Glide mode (provided you have the hardware).

Here's a selfmade little utility that allows to select one of the four available modes:

Setting aside Glide, newer versions of Divine Divinity (particularly one that's distributed via Steam) don't allow selection of anything but Software and Direct3D, albeit more resolutions are supported:

But software mode is cpu-hungry, and Direct3D mode lags impossibly on some systems (mine included). If your Direct3D mode is lagging, use my DDRM tool to select DirectDraw mode. You need to unpack it and run within game folder.

I might be not the only one who discovered it. Personally I stumbled upon it while digging the game config files for my Direct3D problem solution.

Well, according to some forum posts, Glide was selectable at least in DD demo version.
