I had completely forgotten about this game. It's part of NDS and Tommo's new Retroism brand. I thought this was another of those in legal limbo games. Does that mean that WW2GI, Powerslave, Legend of the Seven Paladins, and Extreme Paintbrawl are next? 😁

Ah! Awesome! I remember seeing NAM and WW2GI in the electronics department of my local Fred Meyers. Always wanted them but never got them.

A year or so ago I picked up the original release of NAM, when it was still called NAPALM. Couldn't find WW2GI though. Hopefully it does make it to Steam!

Why didnt you pick them up back then? The boxed copies are most likely worth a lot these days.

Back then they looked like crap! If I'd known how much these damn things were going to be worth, I would have stocked up!

Hindsight 20/20 or something. At least these games now have a new audience on steam. I didnt play them back then, I only found about them like around 2008 when researching all the build engine games. It was a budget title when it came out. Kinda amazing a build engine game released when games were already 3d made on win9x.

Heh, I ALREADY HAVE my PURCHASED CD DOS versions of both NAM and World War II GI 😀

What cracks me up about the Steam-ing-POS release, the recommended system requirements:

OS: Windows 7
Processor: 1.5 GHz Processor
Memory: 1 GB RAM
Graphics: 100% DirectX compatible graphics
Hard Drive: 100 MB available space
Sound Card: 100% DirectX compatible card or onboard sound

...funny how the game(s) ran FLAWLESSLY on my old Intel 486DX4-100 PC with only a measly 64MB RAM -> http://jasonwilliams400com.startlogic.com/sno … _486DX4-100.htm 😀

Hehe, a WW2GI screenie for ya -> http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedet … ls/?id=61547217 😀

Lol Figures! If they had released this for sale in the 2000's I would have probably bought it but since then I have found copies of both at my local goodwill.

Check me out at Transcendental Airwaves on Youtube! Fast-food sucks!

well, i guess the system requirements have to resemble what most people these days have. they cant put a 486DX4 with dos 6.22 at minimum requirements. 😀

It's bundled with DOSbox so it's going to require a beefier machine. Most users aren't expected to be running on an actual DOS machine
