Its the MSX graphics and sound chips on an expansion card. Moreover, if you use the Z80 on an Apple II Softcard, you pretty much have the harrdware capabilities of an MSX system except for the memory addressing.

Definitely cool to find out about this, though I wonder what software was available that used it.

Same can be said for the PC with a z80 card.

It's possible that it's vaporware. It may have been advertised but never actually released for sale. I know a lot of Apple II people and none of them have ever talked about anything like this. It would be a Holy Grail if one was ever found.

I did try looking up the company (Third Millennium Engineering) and got nothing but other companies that use the same name, so you might be right about this thing being vaporware. I've certainly never heard of it. I did see a price of $295 on the ad, so, at the very least, it would've sold at least a few units had it actually been sold.

That does suggest that it existed for the Apple II at least, but this thing must be bloody rare. With nearly no trace of the product or the company, I'd bet they went out of business before the PC version was released, and with not many Apple II cards produced.
