Is there such a thing? I'd like to use one set of desktop speakers with multiple computers. I don't need RCA connectors, just standard 3.5mm. Preferably something less expensive than another set of desktop speakers. 😀 Thanks...

Sorry, I meant something more like a switch, not a splitter (like a KVM for desktop speakers). I'll try to edit the subject line to fix that.

Do an eBay search on "AV switch" or "AV splitter".

They use RCA, but that shouldn't be an issue 😀

I'd need to get RCA to 3.5mm adapters then, right? My sound cards and speakers are all 3.5mm, no RCA connectors.

Yup.

I used this before giving up on all the cables. Now I just plug in whatever and whenever I need it: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/4-in-1-AV-Video-Au … ~sAAOSwLzdWRaee

Cool, thanks. I found these. Very inexpensive, don't know how reliable they'd be 😀

Looks expensive compared to the AV splitters.

Nice. No need for RCA to 3.5mm adapters, but still over 2x more. Do you have experience with this? Any particular reason you recommend it over the other?

I have the first model 😀

I used it in some MIDI comparison videos, switching back and forth between units.

If you use a TFT-TV with more inputs then you can use them..

I have one with 2 hdmi inputs (audio via hdmi)
and 1 vga input audio input via 3,5mm connector.

Speakers are connected to the headset output of the TV.

When i switch video source, audio source is switched too.
