You too mate and to everyone here, hope it's a safe and happy one.

Forecast to be 35C here (95F) so we have the blowup waterslide out for the kids and a shade sail slung over the washing line to provide some shade for lunch. Lunch will be a roast lamb, BBQ'd prawns, various salads and of course plum pudding + icecream and custard. My father hand makes the custard so that's a highlight.

What does Christmas day look like for you guys?

We're scheduled to get a snow storm for the next couple of days... so fairly different, although the roast lamb sounds delicious. I believe the menu at Chez Nous this year has turkey, tourtiere, and all the trimmings.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. Have a great time, stay safe, and always drink responsibly!

Christmas blessings to all!

badmojo, you're making me hungry!

Enjoy the snow, gdjacobs. We got our first snow of the season last week. Only lasted a day and totaled 2 inches, but we did get a few days of single digit temps and two consecutive mornings in the negatives. Now we're scheduled for 60 degrees and thunderstorms on Christmas day. 🙁 Those are Fahrenheit, hoser.

The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know.

TBH, i don't really like Christmas. I'm in the middle of a xmas party and i'm bored to tears. Just tolerate it because i love my wife

Need to share a picture of our x-mas tree....

Tonight, we had goose, roasted pork, caramelised potatoes, boiled potatoes, red cabbish, chips, gravy and redwine.
For desert, we had the national x-mas desert, that are a rise porage called ris ala mande, with cherry sauce.
It is porage made from a special kind of polished rise (looks like sushi rice), boiled in whole fat milk and a stick of vanilla.
When cooled down, it is mixed with whipped cream, and chopped almonds are added.
Served ice cold with warm cherry sauce. This year, I made it from scratch. Even picked the cherries in summer.

Anyway.... The picture of the tree. (Sorry for the bad quality, it was too bright, even with the blinds shut)

YES. Tomorrow is the time to reveal the mystery cubes from beneath the festive cone, and tell tales of a obese red intruder.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.
