I skipped Troika's Temple of Elemental Evil after reading a lot of negative/lukewarm reviews.

I tried to play TOEE before the patches (to make it easier ???) and it kicked my butt right off the bat, never could get past those frogs... Hands down the hardest game I ever tried to play. That game truly for the hardcore D&D player.

Update: Just beat Fallout 3 GOTY Edition. Finished the first 4 DLC back last Oct. when the GOTY was released, started a new character a month ago and beat Zeta the past 2 nights. Easy for the most part playing on Hard (at lvl 17), except for those alien freaks in the glittery force field armor. Bastads don't wanna die. I forgot my Firelance... 😵

Finished Mass Effect 2

Took 26hrs, did all the missions.
Did not explore every system nor did I mine every planet since those are boring and don't mean anything anyway.

Added Torchlight

I was playing Torchlight during the holidays, playing a Mage type whatever it was called. I was around lvl 17-18 I think, had my animal armed with spells and 2 nicely upgraded golems. BUT when all 4 of us started attacking, the screen was filled with so much magic sparkle I was just randomly clicking blind in the magic cloud till everything was dead. I stopped playing. Maybe I should have been playing on hard.

Update: Finished the Anno 1404 campaign tonight.

Think I liked 1701's campaign better, the new one is more story driven with people nagging you all the time. I think the game is geared more towards the players playing the continuous sandbox mode, with the campaign just getting your feet wet.

Updated 4-25-2010

Added Metro 2033

Took at the most 8hrs to finish.

Excellent game. No crashes at all. (Pretty sad when that's noteable huh?)
Game runs very well. I ran it at 1920x1080 at HIGH detail all the way up until you find the kid you have to protect. After that I bumped it up to Very High @ 1680x1050. Game ran very well, only time there was a slowdown was in outside areas especially at the end. Still very playable tho.

This was with an ATI 5870, C2D @ 2.4ghz with 8gb of RAM of Windows 7 64bit.

This is an excellent FPS but it is very linear (which isn't a bad thing in this case).

Update: Dark Messiah: Might And Magic [06-11-10]

Not a bad game for being 5 years old, the graphics department has really held up. While somewhat annoying at first the game really grows on you, especially the hand to hand combat. Kicking people over ledges never gets old.

Somehow I forgot to cleanse myself of my evilness, had to kill the hot chick and end the game with the evil ending. 😒

I'm not sure how I forgot Narbacular Drop-- yeah, it was a college project and very short, and perhaps a bit lacking in depth, but it was good.

Uh......... Too many to list off the top of my head.

The only one I can claim any "claim to fame" from is The 7th Guest. A few months after it came out, Graeme Devine and Rob Landeros (the main creators,) gave a talk at the local Science Museum (OMSI.) Pretty good turnout, considering they were a couple of game developers, which wasn't exactly a glorious profession at the time. Maybe 100 people.

They asked how many had played the game. Most raised their hands. They asked how many had beat the game. Only myself and one other person (the friend I came with,) kept our hands up. They gave us a little shoutout, then apologized for the crappy quality of the end-game video...
