Finished Shadowcaster from Origin Systems/Raven. Turned out to be a decent game, but below par for what I expect from Origin. Funny, when you defeat Veste, it goes into a a loop of the endgame cinematic. When you interrupt it by hitting a mouse button, it just dumps you to the DOS prompt. Game Over! 🤣.

Dishonored: Death of the Outsider. I bought a game on day 1 and I never do that.

It's exactly what I wanted and got - more Dishonored. Missions are great, but some reuse. Worldbuilding is excellent, though the Dishonored writing weaknesses remain. The game looks good even on minimum settings and I can usually get 60 FPS on my Core 2 Duo.

I will say even though the Dishonored series has always been the Thief tribute series, this one especially invokes Thief: TDP stuff.

I finished ME Andromeda too, about 2-3 months ago. It also took me about 60 hours or so. I played on the PS4. In some ways it was better than ME3 but in many ways it was not. For me ME2 was the best of them all (personal opinion).

I've never been a fan of the Dragon Age or Mass Effect games but I have played them.

Andromeda was just mediocre it felt like they had a design document that they followed to the letter and checked all the boxes. Lots of crap thrown in but never felt like anything meaningful. As usual the "romances" were ridiculous. The cutscenes for planet takeoff and landing as well as between systems were annoying as hell. Inventory management was annoying. Planet scanning was pointless as usual. Driving was a waste of time. Alot of missions just felt like they were drawing things out to pad the time.

Very few graphics glitches and no crashes and no glitches except towards the end with some cutscenes.

Worth playing if you want to play a mediocre game but it would probably be worth it for someone to categorize the missions by quality so people could skip the junk.

Finished Realms of Arkania: Blade of Destiny. Maybe 40-50 hrs? I could've finished it quicker but the end game sequence took awhile to get right. There were some quest items I didn't pick up, so had to backtrack to get them. Here's some engame screenshots courtesy of my smartphone camera:

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

Pretty good game. Takes about 12hrs or so to beat. Other than a few game freezes no issues.
Has a pretty good story for a Wolfenstein game and also no Denuvo.

Finished Dishonored Death of the Outsider.

Definetly worth playing but easier than I thought. Played with the difficulty one less than the max.
Likely hardest way to play would be to gather all the loot and never knock anyone out and mabye no magic.
Closest I came to that was that during the bank mission with no disturbances.

Guess what I've just finished?

This scene, however, is more interested than that of the final boss battle.

Oh, just some action game with RPG elements. The plus point is the game is really easy to get into, so it makes ideal game during busy times. The minus point is the game doesn't have save feature.

Not the way I wanted to end it, but I ended up cheating my way to the end of Wing Commander: Privateer. The last few missions were so far beyond my abilities, but I did give it my best shot dozens of times. I don't know why I had to resort to cheats, I never had to do this to beat all the other Origin space and air operas. Is Privateer that much harder than Origin's other games? To me it was...🙁

Half-Life through PCem v13 from start to finish.

I did finish it earlier but forgot to post about it (and I did finish it nearly 2 decades prior so). I wanted to play through it again with scary low framerates 😀

Finished RtCW for the first time. I played it back in the day, but never beat it. This coming from a guy who's not that great at first person shooters - they got the difficulty just right on this game. Heinrich is appropriately badass, but still beatable by a clueless1. 😉

I still wonder why Heinrich turned his heavily-armed cyborg guards into skeleton weaklings though.

Since I joined Vogons in December 2015, I've beaten 21 (mostly RPG) games. Two thirds of those were Origin games. 😊

I'd say for the most part, the "Hours to Finish" column is accurate. Some games took more days because I had less game-playing time in those periods or I paused the game for awhile to play a different game.

A few awards:
Best Game Overall: Baldur's Gate (Realms of Arkania I - honorable mention)
Worst Overall: Eric the Unready (adventure games aren't my thing)
Most Unexpectedly Good Game: Realms of Arkania I
Most Unexpectedly Bad Game: Shadowcaster
Most Likely to Replay: Wing Commander, Wing Commander II, System Shock, System Shock 2, Ultima Underworld, Ultima Underworld II, Wings of Glory, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein
Least Likely to Replay: Privateer

WC1-2 and UU1-2 are most likely to be replayed because I beat them before I got my MT-32, now I want to re-experience them as they were meant to be heard.

The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know.

You're probably going to be surprised (or infuriated) to know that Ultima Underworld on the MT-32 has "actual sound effects".

Are you talking about MIDI instruments in place of digitized sound effects? That IS one thing that is weird about older MT-32 games. 😒
