I haven't played Demon's Souls (and little to nothing of Dark Souls), but it is exceptionally hardcore. Yet somehow it makes you to enjoy every death and grow from your mistakes. Was bloody as hell at the time as well.

I got a factory sealed copy of Zero Divide for PC from ebay today. I didn't even know a PC version existed until I stumbled upon it, so I lowballed at 50% asking and won it. I used to play the hell out of this game on my PSX, still have my original copy for that system. Excellent soundtrack too.. Hoping the PC version isn't gimped in that department

Are you in the U.S.? That looks to be a variant that Moby Games does not have for their cover art section. Would you mind scanning that box in and submitting to Moby Games? That must be the U.S. release as Moby Games does have the Japanese and European Windows release cover art already.

I don't have a scanner and I am very hesitant to break the box down like that to scan it, but I will consider it.. It does have the standard cardboard insert to hep it hold its shape so hopefully breaking it down won't affect it too much..

I believe its USA for sure. came with bog minimum sheet of paper from interplay stuff about tech support, etc.. everything is in English. The UPC has text on it that says "Not for sale outside North America".

This is flipping amazing though. You can play the game right off the CD-ROM, I just did it on Windows 10 even.. The original soundtrack is also there but not as redbook audio, its WAV files that the game either has loop points for, or just repeats (haven't played extensively to test stuff). It seems to be limited to 640x480 resolution, but I haven't looked too deep into things. All I know is the windowed mode is tiny 🤣

Oh. I have Zero Divide (PC) but I got it on one of those CD racks back in the day for commercial software, so no box and barely any manual, it was just in a jewel case. Nice find!

Well, I don't quite know how to do that with any scanner I would have access to.. they don't need the lid closed or what?

You're not missing much it was just the jewel case and paper support insert.

Exactly. Scan with the lid up and then just use a crop tool to just show the front and back. I use 600dpi resolution when scanning.

You could say that, yes, but it's not designed to have that "die, learn, do better, repeat" cycle like Souls games. Combat is challenging in Severance, your butt will be handed to you if you try to just steamroll forward, but in the end it's more about the fun and hilarious brutality of it than the difficulty. How can you not love a game where you can whack your enemies into pieces, pick them up and throw them at the next enemy? Slice ones head off on stairs and then follow the severed head as it rolls down the stairs?

Holy HELL that's a lot of "lore". 😜 Also yes, I'm pretty sure that little packet with the button, thread, paperclip etc. is an actual feelie that was included with the game.

Now I'm curious as to the result of the contest. Did anyone ever claim the ten grand cash prize? How long did it take? Did they actually get the money? Did the company file for bankruptcy or do other shenanigans before they had to pay out?

Here's another one in the scanning queue. I've actually had this for a couple months but don't think I posted it here yet. Similar vein.

Like the box art. The guy on the front reminds me of Dr. Eldon Tyrell from the original Blade Runner (not the crap sequel).

Received a few sealed games over the last months. I was looking for late 90's racing and action games and these came up decently priced.

I've looked for this on-and-off for years - the collectors edition of Gothic 3. Not rare actually, but finding the english version for reasonable money was a little challenging. I'd love original release big box versions of 1 and 2 but I don't even know if they exist in an english version.

The cloth map included here for G3 is quite nice, I'll frame it one of these days.

Damn, we had a local store that still recently had those collecting dust for 10e apiece. Bought one for myself around 4 years ago and still found a couple left two years later.

Anyway, got these from a local auction 7e/game. Have been looking for KOTS for a long long time at a decent price.

Some nice games there xjas. Murder on the Atlantic looks awesome, wonder if it's related to Murder on the Mississippi? could never get that to run on my Apple II clone back in the day.

Planetfall has been scanned at MOCAGH if it saves you time - https://mocagh.org/loadpage.php?getgame=planetfall
