Picked these up on ebay for about 5 bucks apiece:

somegames.jpg

Thief: The Dark Project (came with a 2nd CD of Eidos demos)
Need for Speed: High Stakes
Links LS 1998 Edition
Moto Racer
Links LS 1997 Edition
Shadowcaster

The first four go on my 1998 Dream PC (P2-400, Voodoo2 SLI), the last two are MS-DOS games.

Which volume of Eidos demos do you have?

There are like 7. I have volume 5.

Here's the games I got recently. Most purchases were from last week and a few were from a bit earlier. I did mention I got "new" games but didn't have any pics. I made a couple quick ones, the names are all visible. All are the plastic DVD boxes (it's not easy to find big air-filled boxes anymore).

SpellForce and Titan Quest I think I didn't have in my collection yet.
Zoo Tycoon Complete Collection is very nice to have, it's very hard finding the expansion packs separately 😵
Emperor: Battle for Dune, I already had a couple of those, but I can't let such a game get left behind.
Halo 1 is a great game, so this was also a nobrainer 😁
Deus Ex Invisible War, I had never heard of this one.

You should archive.org that demo disk. I need to get around to uploading mine. I already have it imaged but its on another hard drive right now.

Curiously, aside from Warzone and Deus Ex your disk is largely the same as mine (except mine is largely 3DFX branded)

I now have a physical copy of Duke Nukem 3D. 😀 Pretty nice box. No registration card or such, but I'm happy to have finally found the big boxed Atomic Edition (nearly all the other copies on eBay and Amazon are just the jewel case).

Edit: And here are some Carnivores 2 big box pictures. This is the European English version, which is basically the US box with a "EUROPEAN EDITION" sticker on the rear over the tape seal. Box was opened but the contents are new. The bottom of the box is faded, but there's no major damage.

Here's the post from when I got the sealed Carnivores big box: Re: Bought these games today

Link for the rest of the Carnivores 2 photos: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/m5j8qmd9fanqzil/AA … 3m5C43eN5a?dl=0

The Virtual Hunting Club thingy included with Carnivores 2 was still sealed. I took the photos right after opening it to show its contents. As with Carnivores 1, the cardboard insert's spine is on the left hand side of the box's front cover, and the insert's holder is on the rear.

Edit: Here is Carnivores Ice Age! - Re: Bought these games today

Something I always meant to own and play but never have despite loving the series as a whole:

Did not come with manual and/or CD-KEY however, which is disappointing. I'll have to find a CD Key online..

Haha thanks! 😁

This came in the mail today, a little something I had been hunting for at a good price and after a few years now I finally have it:

med_gallery_60983_11505_476899.jpg

Along with Space Crusade on the Amiga (which incidentally I also bought not long ago) it is one of the two games that got me into 40K and painting space marines..

I would absolutely love to have a shelf with nothing but the games workshop games, but I've gotten so many of them digital between GOG and Steam that it just seems a bit...redundant?

Or the boxes. Buying DVD-cases feels such a let down. 😢

DVD cases have one undeniable advantage. There much harder to damage severely.

I kind of beg to differ.. Jewel cases are the worst but DVD cases are very prone to cracking and breaking as well..

Yes, it's like a modern Prius compared to a 60's Cadillac, but guess which one I'd rather step out of?

Anyway, got these two from a local listing.

The bonus DVD is a must watch.

Did yours come with the double sided poster with the tank and the orbital gun?

Yes, the poster and manual were intact and the package was complete. I bought it for the Bonus DVD mostly, I know the compilation versions of the games are often inferior to their originals, but then that's why I'm also collecting the originals as well (see a couple posts above for Tiberian Sun)

AFAIK the games still work back to there original OS's. In the installer however I believe is Windows 2000 and newer only. There also updated for Windows 7 should you decide to be ass backwards however.

Yeah, I also bought it back in -91 and still have it. 😊 It's superior compared to the PC version because of the awesome sounds, but as with other Amiga games, it doesn't support a proper flight stick. It also requires an A1200 to run smoothly.
