Found the original uncut PC PowerVR version of Resident Evil on Ebay last week after looking a very long time for it, maybe 3-4 years ! A collector from portugal put it up on Ebay after he disolved his Resident Evil collection and I managed to win the auction. It wasn't that cheap but to have such a rare game in my collection makes me smile :] Also to my surprise the big box in which the game came is very sturdy and in a great condition. I also made a Subscriber Thank You video for youtube where I unboxed it.

Oh man, I felt so happy for you in that unboxing vid. Great stuff and this box brings back a lot of memories. You just made me feel quite nostalgic my man. 😊

I can also see that you're a Symphony of the Night fan, which is one of my favorite games of all time. I'll watch some of your videos mate 😉

That's a prime example of something that is worth paying a little more for now so you don't miss out and have to wait another 3 or 4 years for the next one. A good acquisition of a rare game.

Yes it was around 70 Euro but I really love this game and it needed to be in my collection, I mean I build a retro PC just so I could play this game 😁

For my Voodoo benchmarking I got some early 3D games: Forsaken, Incoming, MDK2, Messiah and Conflict Freespace.

One thing I notice is that some of these benchmarks take forever to complete. Incoming I believe runs through all levels and doesn't seem to have a function to quit. Forsaken also takes quite a while. Same goes for Turok demo. Must have been a nightmare back in the day...

🤣 yeah back in the days pre-2000 computers were very expensive, at least in europe they did cost a fortune and the PC-Games as well. The good thing was if you had a voodoo card you could run most of the cool games on the block like Doom, Unreal, Tomb Raider, GTA1 and a lot of others, but I remember I always got to a friends house because I couldnt affprd a PC, he had one of those old big white desktops and we played Unreal and Quake for endless hours 🤣 good times 😁

Never played this one but it looks cool and will be interesting to see what Lawrence Holland did before X-Wing

I haven't played it either but it's supposed to be a classic. Let us know what you think!

Got Tropico Trilogy. I'd been eyeing Tropico: Mucho Macho Edition for a while but this is better. It has Tropico 1,2,and 3 and all the expansions. There's only one snag. If you get it, it probably won't have the required serial number that is needed to play Tropico 3 so you'll have to email customer support to get one. How this managed to slip past quality control is anyone's guess, but it appears to be a widespread problem.

@carlostex - nice find! A classic big box of a classic game.

This isn't a game but old software I picked up recently, been looking for it for a while actually. It's Wordstar, the dominant word processor in the early 80's and still used today by some big name authors, for example George R. R. Martin is still using it apparently!

I dabble in short story writing from time-to-time and like the idea of using a DOS word processor on original hardware, mainly because there'd be no internet lurking in the background to distract me!
