Whoa! A sealed copy of System Shock 2!

360123339236 (ebay item #)

Pointless (me) bidding for it though, it'll prolly go for 🤑 😳

😢

That is the Australian Black Diamond re-release.

I would prefer to get this cover version.

But I got the Electronics Art's Classics version.

Hmm System Shock series? That game really something special?
I got System Shock 1 sealed brand-new in big box, complete and so on for about 7 Euro. That was around 5 years ago. Hmm what's the big deal about it, am curious? 😀

I'd be happy with any of them. 😀 So long as they were complete and the CD playing surface was in very good condition. Can't stand CDs with marks on them. Hate having "read errors".

Ah, Looking Glass Technologies! The most underrated company of all time which was killed by the ignorance of the mass population. It still has a cult following even though the company is no more.
Every game from Looking Glass has some features which make it stand out from the rest. And System Shock is one of them.
But for most of the people who are relatively new to the gaming scene will be put off by the primitive no-mouse-look interface. And you can't change the default key layout which may also be frustrating. I really hope some fan will create a patch for mouselook and the ability to reconfigure the keys. Nonetheless, be assured that there are hardcore followers for this game. Err...I'm one of them. 😁

Real Myst (for PC). How come this game is so rare & expensive? Logic says that it should have sold by the bucket load when it was first published, yet it seems that there's so few copies available.

Ooh, I have Realmyst! How much do you want to pay for it?

Please can you describe its condition, including the CD(s) playing surface(s), and whether the box is complete, etc? Thanks a lot.

OI how dare you describe Pod as underwhelming

Dunno, the only overwhelming moment with Pod is when playing multiplayer (I played it multiplayer in the university's computer lab once or twice).

Never thought this thread would be that long, but now, for something different.....

Hello - do you have X-Com Interceptor? I have the official strategy guide for this game if you want to buy it off of me.

Heh, it's the prequel to Bioshock and Bioshock 2 that's all that's special about it. (as if there needed to be more). 😁

It's kinda like asking old time Mac gamers what the big deal is about Marathon.

I don't know how much of FeedingDragon's list he/she's still looking for, but (just in case anyone else is interested), I'm selling 2 Forgotten Realms CD-ROM compilations on eBay this week. One is the 2001 Gamefest compilation (with PDF documentation); the other is the 1997 Interplay Forgotten Realms Archives, with a thick combined paper manual, codewheels where needed, and the SSI cluebooks for the original 4-game "Gold Box" Forgotten Realms series (Pool of Radiance, Curse of the Azure Bonds, Secret of the Silver Blades, and Pools of Darkness). These are duplicates of my personal copies, acquired recently at a convention, and both include original disks & the original box.
