GOG.com: The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut
https://www.gog.com/game/the_witcher

Is this game as good as they say for a PC gamer?

It's pretty good. I loved it when it first came out. The stiff cutscene animations look a bit dated of course in 2020, but other than that the game still looks nice. There's mods for it as well if you're into that sort of thing. Overall you can easily tell it's one of those "AA" games. And it feels and plays like a computer game, not like a console port.

This review is pretty much identical to my own thoughts:

F1 2018 free to keep on Humble Store (2 days left, or until the Steam keys run out):

Nice one. My son and I each snagged this yesterday and he was playing it for the rest of the day. I mainly ran the built-in benchmark. 😀 I was pleased my i5-4590/GTX1650S was averaging over 70 fps at 1080p with every detail maxed out. It's quite a beautiful game! My son's i7-4790/RTX2060 KO was averaging over 100 fps with the same benchmark settings.

The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know.

Latest rumour is that if you log into the Bethesda Launcher this weekend that you'll be able to download Quake 2 and 3 for free next week.

Thanks, fortunately they still had keys so I grabbed it.

Unfortunately I absolutely hate the way F1 cars look since 2018 so even looking at the screenshots made me want to stab myself in the eye with a blunt spoon.

Is anyone else seeing a whole bunch of "free" games on your GOG wishlist, which turn out to be not free after you add them to your cart?

Wacky Wheels can be found on GoG and Steam. Jazz Jackrabbit can be found on GoG, but oddly is absent from Epic Store 🤣

I don't know about Skunny Kart... I think that every skunny game is crap. No time to waste looking for them.

They use DOSBox, so I assume you can just copy the files. GOG usually has the latest patches (if any) applied as well. Steam on the other hand is usually a garbage dump when it comes to retro games.

Whatever. It's free. Quit complaining.
