Folks,

I've been meaning to post this here for a week now... better late than never <grin>.

Over eight years in the waiting, the freeware racing game "GeneRally" (with almost a cult following of fans) has finally been updated to version 1.10, and has been released! 😀 Also note that GeneRally v1.10b (bugfix version) is coming to a PC near you soon... ETA on February 28, 2011 😀

I remember hearing some great things about this game a long, long time ago. Maybe I'll finally check it out now.

By all means, do so 😀 I've been following and active with this freeware gem since it's initial beta stage back in 2002. The game has almost a cult following, and during it's highest popularity, we used to have several hundred message posts a day over in the older (now gone) official GeneRally forums (at the time, hosted by Race Sim Central).

There are literally TONS of user addons created for the game; tracks, cars, sound packs, game color changing palettes, utilities and such, as well as quite a few competitions and racing leagues that are still active even today 😀

(edit) P.S. Surf over to http://alternative.gene-rally.com for an 'all around' site with a good sampling of nice addons 😀
