clut as in COLOR LOOK UP TABLES!? THOSE ARE AWESOME!
My favorite CLUT trick is using the light intensity color lookup table to fade additive particles without making a bunch more additive lookup tables it's an awesome clever trick.
I wish I knew x86 ASM so i can clut faster.
