Things easily get out of hand and the focus of a thread becomes lost, especially when more and more users are there.
So let's keep as close to the topic as possible, so that we can easily see what's the solution to a problem or to find out more about a specific topic.
(I myself had made mistakes by bringing in other matters not pertaining to the topic in discussion. Usually some interesting thoughts or experiences come in, and may be amusing, but deviate from the main subject.)
I keep reminding myself to refrain from hijacking a thread just because I had a funny experience related to a topic but not relevant to the outcome of the topic of discussion. Sometimes it is tempting to say something but I don't see the point in saying something that will not help propagate the topic to a more constructive and beneficial ending.
(Just wanted to say this, since recently there have been more and more threads leading nowhere..)
(There are immense, useful (and addictive) classic PC hardware and software related discussions and knowledge flowing in the threads, and it's disheartening when the discussions go out of focus.)
As DosFreak said, please use Milliways. (For non-directly-related discussions, or discussions that are not helping the original topic towards it's solution or it's relevant knowledge.)
Errr...it's already quarter past 1, in the morning now! I hope I'm not writing in my sleep! 😁
So, if you see me intruding in and bringing another topic, please warn me or tell me to stfu. Hehehe... 😁
Cheers, friends!
