Hi,

Last month I bought a four old Playstation 2 consoles, with the intend to repair them and resell them and keep 1 or 2 for myself to play Gran Tursimo.
I could fix the consoles but I have a problem with the controllers. One of them is still working, but three others have the wires broken in the cables which are also in very bad shape. I want to replace the cables completely but to do that I have to have acces to the pins in the plugs of the controllers.
But I really don't see how I can open those plugs, they have no screws and no seams to pry open. 🙁

Does anyone know how I can open those plugs?

I just looked at mine, there is actually a seam but its hard to see and it appears glued or something. you can see it all around the connector just behind the little ridge. If you could open it, the rear part of the connector should slide along the cable and reaveal the connections . I would try working at it with an exacto knife, then pry it. Cannot say if it is doable but looks like its your only chance. ( without breaking it)

Blan B would be buying cheap china made extension cables
