A couple of years ago, someone told me about a service based in Japan, that offered to buy things on behalf of any international buyer on the Japanese version of Yahoo, and then send the "winning item" to this buyer. The idea behind this service was to get around the problem that some sellers would not ship internationally outside of Japan.

Does anyone know of a service like this, for the United States and/or Canada? Thanks a lot.

Keep in mind that if there's a dispute, having a third party in the middle complicates matters and you probably won't get a resolution in your favor.

Yes OK. At the moment, I'd like to buy an old $20 dollar sound card, and so if the deal fails, then I won't have lost too much money. I think it's worth the risk.

Shipito's website seems poor, in as much as I have registered on their site, but I can't log in to it. The error message states that I have entered in either the wrong email address or password. I've emailed support, and await their response..
