Looks like it sold for $375 not $35, unless I'm reading it wrong. That's just off. I paid $60 for my AGP TV version of the card.

Dutch Marktplaats

It is boxed an seems to be complete though, boxed items have tended to go for several times the bare item price for a longer while now.
It may be expensive, but is it really that outrageous?

Yes, it is. Come on now....v5 5500 is a nice card and becomes a bit expensive but this is expensive even compared to Ebay.

It is the agp version and i think 200 euro should be enough. Couple weeks ago a V5 5500 mac pci went for 160 euro on marktplaats (without box). I have the boxed pci mac edition and that should bring max. 250 euro.
No way a normal agp should bring 375. Mine is not for sale but just saying.

BTW If i sold one of my agp's soon (without box) it should bring around 100 euro. So he has a MIGHTY expensive box 🤣

Maybe, just maybe if it was sealed. because that would be more rare.

Considering regular v5500 go for around 50-100 on ebay depending of features without box ofc. It is MP and not ebay, you should take that in account aswell. Reckon the guy saw the 3 listing looking for voodoo 5500 and thought wth.

The last 2 that were for sale on MP went for 100 euro each (not boxed, couple of months in between) so they do get expensive, even in NL. 375 euro for a boxed one is just a joke imho, but hey, you never know.
It's been a very LONG time since a pci version was for sale on MP, should be fun to see how high that goes now, as v3 pci did also hit high prices recently.

A beauty! Totally worth it! Have you not seen the rust on that baby? Pure vintage! Who knows what important bytes that card IOed in its youth. I would not let it get away....

Damn I hate scalpers like this. There's an option to report the item and say "This item infringes on my copyright." I hope dreamblaster can do this.

Why? They have not copied anything. They are just out to make money, hoping that no one realise that it can be bought cheaper else were. And a lot cheaper, I might add.

Except that scalpers have absolutely no interest in people like us who do this as a hobby or even for historic reasons...and won't give it a second thought between getting more money and wiping out retro-computing communities...they only care about the money.

Things are getting expensive enough as it is already, I'd prefer not not let it get worse for scalpers's sakes 😀

Although admittedly I don't sell most of my stuff I have because it's almost completely worthless in terms of price. If Prices rose enough where I could sell some of my retro gear to actually make a usable profit above the ebay and paypal fees I might consider selling it. Not just to be money-grabbing money-whore or anything to get rich. But just to turn around and buy some other retro parts with the money instead.. since legitimate trading is neigh impossible in a guaranteed way to get something on the internet.

So on one side I'm hoping prices go up in a way, on some things... namely the things I already own. 😁

Yeah... I hear you. I am not going to give my honest opinion this time though.
Because last time I opened my mouth on this subject, someone gave me a slight negative comment for saying what I feel on this subject.
Don't worry... It was not you. Anyway... I am all with you on this.

What I meant about getting the dreamblasters cheaper elsewere, is to buy them directly at Serdashop.
You can still get them brand spanking new and un-used from there. Both of them actually.
