i've been looking around for old game demos/themes/shareware to download but mostly i found dead links and servers. gamedomain had a lot of stuff but is offline for some years now. anyone knows if something similar exists nowadays?

Download.com was great for 96-99 games, until they did the stupid installer wrapper thing.

MBnet.fi's download repository has a lot of rare shareware stuff, but that is exclusive to Finnish subscribers. It'd be a dream if I had access to it 🙁

If tucows still exists, it might have a lot of crap from the 90's!

Some of the files on MBnet.fi are also available on cd roms, that were available to subscribers. I am no longer a subscriber, but I have some old cd roms still left from them. I could upload them somewhere, but I am not sure if it is legal, there are no full versions of programs on cds so maybe it is legal?

even if it is not 100% legal, there are good intensions behind it and you dont sell the cd so it can't be that illegal ;p It would be very nice if you could upload it on a free file hosting website 😎
