So, you guys missed that the first (public) thread:
Worst Memory Pig...ever

and the first (public) post:
Worst Memory Pig...ever
were June 30, 2002.

(and the first registered user was June 29, 2002.
Anonymous )

(Prior to that, many of us were at the VDMSound forums: http://pub7.bravenet.com/forum/static/show.ph … 1&cmd=show&cp=5 )

At this point, VOGONS is officially 10 years old (and one month).

Happy belated birthday to a forum I helped start. 😀

Happy Birthday to one of the most dedicated forums ever!

It still maintains the clean, no-ad, club-like, members-only (but still open freely for new members) atmosphere! I registered on this site while I was still an intern at college in 2004.

No idea for sure, the last news that was shared among us was severe Real Life Syndrome back in early 2004.

May Vogons' capacitors never swell or burst. 😀 May their IRQ be always 7 and their signal to noise ratio be free from all static.

Most forums don't last as long as 10 years. 😀 Nice to see this one's still up and running, relaxed and active. Lots of forums I've gone to have broken down in some way, usually due to lack of activity or bad moderation.
(Actually it is sort of disconcerting to see we're running forum software that's 9 years old!)

edit: this makes me wish Zophar.net was still what it used to be, before it became awful.
