I was thinking of building a system just as a secondary machine for web surfing, watching videos, and doing some light LAN gaming (mostly just stuff from 1999-2005, though also potentially some mid-late 90's games in DosBox, and TF2), and I came across these two builds but I cannot decide which one is better. They're both about the same price, and the AMD build seems to have the edge with graphics and expandability, but the Intel build seems to have a better CPU.

Here's the Intel build: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ComboBundleDetai … t=Combo.1017103

Here's the AMD build:

Which one should I go with? I should also point out that if I do buy one of these, I am planning on probably running Windows XP Pro, since it's reasonably lightweight and I know it like the back of my hand. 🤣

Tough choice but the AMD has the best gpu and scales very very very well with high speed ram while the Intel has much better cpu and i/o. Overall it is hard to choose but for older games and using emulators the Intel is the best choice due to raw cpu and memory bandwidth alone.
Llano does need good ram to get the best results, I learned when it came to my A8 3530mx that just having the best ram provides a huge boost to the graphics.
