I was just looking at that.. Quite interesting! I got sidetracked when I found SNK's Metal Slug!! :p

Actually, there's a few ported SNK games.. King of Fighters, etc.

Does someone know the BBCode to make my links just be the game's name?

On my Epic quest to grow this list.. I came across ScummVM for Android! I'm going to add emulators soon.. couple different DOSBOX clones and others.

On another note.. Angry Birds Star Wars is out! Woohoo!

I tried scummvm and dosbox on andriod but the tablet form [even with a physical keyboard] seemed an incredibly crippled platform for trying to use them and the andriod interface itself didnt help, so I gave up.

I've only tried AnDOSBox to a limited extent.. I'd highly recommend Hacker's Keyboard to get a FULL keyb layout.

Hmm.. just noticed SEGA has House of the Dead Overkill on Google Play.. Guess Wii ports are too new to consider retro though. But it still looks coool!! 😜

Also updated some titles and my growing emu list, enjoy!

Prehistorik Man

For Dosbox, I use Dosbox Turbo. It even supports MT-32 emulation in Android. I'm running it with MT-32 music in my Galaxy Note II.

EDIT: As usual, for MT-32 emulation, requires both the ROM files - either MT-32 or the CM-32L's.

thanks for the list, I recently was gifted a Galaxy Note 10.1 but I can't say I use it 🤣
maybe it will see some use for gaming, though I have a fear that touch screen controls would suck 😁

Yea the touchscreen controls just can't compare to a nice pad.. but I'm a tinkerer so I like to see what I can make my gadgets do.

Bard's Tale plays like a ps2 port ... there is an option for Hiqh Quality textures download but frankly I could not tell the difference...

Coool.. was just going to check that out but got sucked into Ikaruga =)

edit: I may end up adding the newer ports to a separate post. I've already seen PS2 / Wii ports and those are previous / current gen.

Keep em comin tho.. I'll get em all listed one way or anuder =)

Bosbox Turbo works really, really well. I have been playing Daggerfall on it flawlessly (although sometimes you will want to use a bluetooth keyboard). I have heard Fallout works great as well.

I havent tried SCUMMVM but really want to, point & click adventure games seem perfect for a touchscreen interface like android.

There are also two Exult ports for Android, one in java and one is native. Havent tried either but Ultima 7 is pretty perfect for touchscreen also since the game was built around using only the mouse to play.

Is there a thread or subforum on this website for android talk like this? I am new to the forum and haven't really explored heavily yet (just found out about this community, very glad to since I am quite a PC enthusiast, the 386 being my first PC when i was 6).

Such a sub-forum or thread would just encourage users of nonofficial ports of DOSBox asking for for support when they need to ask the people selling the ports.
