I figured it would be cool to start a dedicated thread for people to post screenshots of their current desktops. 😁

Yeah, I'm a sucker for cute things. 🤣 Anyhow, if you want the source for the original image, here it is: http://cobracookies.deviantart.com/art/Dammit … e-Two-216989922

My Windows XP Pro desktop, in all of it's 800x600 glory, using the (hacked) Windows Media Center Edition "Royale" color scheme, as well as a "Paint Shop Pro-ed" version of the Windows XP Pro "Windows XP.jpg" wallpaper 😀

(Clicky for Full-Sized Image)

"hacked" = Using the Windows Ultra UXTheme Patcher v1.5.0.88 utility (that directly modifies the Windows XP/Pro "ThemeUI.dll" so that it can load and use "unsigned" color themes).

"Paint Shop Pro-ed" = Removing the usual Windows XP Pro logo and text using "Paint Shop Pro" (as I don't use "Photo Shop"... e.g. "photoshopped").

For people out in the sticks it is.

@rfnagle: Weren't you stuck with dialup up until recently, or am I confusing you for someone else?

Hehe, we FINALLY got broadband out here in the sticks back in 2011 😀

(EDIT) CORRECTION: 2011!

Here's mine. New motherboard, new SSD, new Windows installation, which is why my desktop isn't a huge mess of icons (yet). 😵

I recently packed all my systems into storage and drove from NY to CA to spend a few months in the Bay Area writing and working. My primary system is now a 12" iBook G4 running Tiger. Enjoying sunsets over the Pacific and the simple life (for now).

I keep everything in partitions in folder organization. I've been using my desktop as the default download folder for years now 😀

My current Desktop on Linux Mint 15. This is where I spend the majority of my computer time.

I'm also including a shot of my DOSbox environment running on Linux. I use Quickmenu III as a fantastic in DOS launcher. I've never seen a better DOS menu.
