So I here recently received Populous as a gift, I did a bit of poking around and I noticed that the version of DosBox was way out of date. So to use my own install of DosBox I went in to the game folder to see where the DRM management for Origin resided for the game and it is on the custom built DosBox and discovered all I had to do was copy the game folder over to where I keep my DOS games stashed. This should work for other Dos games from Origin, but Populous is the only title have on my Origin account so I can not test it personally but in theory the process should be about the same. Plus now I do not have to deal with Origin which is a plus 🤣
