At the moment, the best thing I can think of is this hilarious sequence-breaking walkthrough of Ultima IX.

Wow that's just like in Oblivion\Fallout 3 where you can jump around on clutter objects to get over obstacles or into areas you're not supposed to beable to get in yet... That's really hilarious.

Star Control II: sell yer last lander, 'n suddenly doubloons be no longer a problem.
Never thought this thread would be that long, but now, for something different.....
Kreshna Aryaguna Nurzaman.
This guy uses several funny game glitches ("magic" wall climbing and trespassing, crawl while falling to avoid damage, etc.) to set a speedrun record on Outcast:
Let the air flow!

There's a lot more of that on the site. See http://www.it-he.org/ultima.htm for starters.
I had a glitch in Driver once that I'll never forget. ("You are the wheelman!")
On the PC version, 1st level is... downhill SF I think? Went downhill at around 80 mph, hit the corner of a skyscraper in such a way that the car "caught" and traveled up the corner of the building at about twice the speed and ten times the distance - ie: shot straight into the air at over 100mph and traveled like a mile up.
Couldn't stop laughing... This was, like, 5 minutes into running the game for the first time.
Chase camera had this great shot of the car going "POW! .... ... ZOOM!" 😁
... to the moon? 😁
Replayed the save over and over again! I still laugh thinking about it, wish I'd kept the save...

Reminds me of this TAS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMjdhxmDaBM
Here's another neat TAS, running Commander Keen 5 in 2:02: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0d7AU-Wn9Q
Also did anyone notice in Skyrim, you can fly by using a bucket as magic carpet?
In Descent 1 & 2 if there are too many projectiles on screen, the game starts DELETING projectiles... This is easily seen in Descent 2 where INSANE makes generators unlimited, if enough robots are generated, they will form a massive blob and fire so damn much that, apart from hitting each other, the projectiles that don't manage to hit each other will just end up vanishing short of hitting you due to the overflow.
EDIT: Also did you know that in Tribes 1, "skiing" was considered a bug of the DarkStar engine? Which then turned into a "feature" in Tribes 2 and so on...

Speaking of Train Simulator:
wrote:I went a long time without patching my copy of Doom up to v1.9, primarily because I liked being able to have over 200% health. I even challenged myself once to get over 300% health legitimately on the lowest skill setting. (I did succeed but there was lots of reloading involved.)
Hmm, which version allows to go over 200% health? I only know of no cap for armour in versions up to v1.2 and v1.25. I've never encountered any version with health not capped at 199% (before they made it 200% in I think v1.9 that is).
I just finished playing Albion (DOS RPG from 1996). Good game, but cash was really hard to come by. That is, until I discovered a bug. When you are buying items, it tries to deduct money evenly from each of your party members. But somehow the algorithm is screwed up, so if each of your party members only has a very small amount of money, you end up paying a very small amount overall. Give Tom all your money, and then give .1g to each character and buy something expensive, it will end up charging you only a few hundred gold for items that go for a thousand or more. Then you can sell it back at full price. 🤣
If anyone is curious, it's not a great game. Good but not great. I really enjoyed the scifi storyline, but the gameplay is a bit plodding. The tactical battles are really simplistic. It's just OK.

I thought it was health... it might've been armour... That was over half of my life ago so my memory may be slightly sketchy. It was OBVIOUSLY one of them! ;D
