Oh, I knew I heard this before. It is from the “Final Fantasy” movie DVD bonus content.

The bonus content showing the frame layering and composition... I know the one you mean but I don't think it is. I have the R1 DVD, will check.

Yes, I am sure that is it. It’s actually a very creepy sounding track. It was for an alternate ending of the movie.

I think this is the music that plays in the bar (Afterlife) in Mass Effect 2 on Omega!

What!? But it's Mass Effect!

EA must have reused the song. Well I learned something new today!

Yep, Saki Kaskas (RIP) worked on sound/music design for both games. Here's the track on his Soundcloud page: https://soundcloud.com/saki-kaskas/callista

The early NFS games had some of my all-time favorite soundtracks. I'm a huge fan of Rom di Prisco's stuff too. EA really screwed the series over when they went with licensed commerical pop songs.

No I can't find it. The "compositing builds" is break beat and not that track. I can't find an alternate ending either? Where is it on the DVD?

I had no idea that EA is re-using the Callista track in other games - I was only aware of Nfs4. Thanks for clearing things up 😀

Oh, that's so familiar, but I can't quite place it! That sounds like the cut-scene in Wing Commander I where Jazz is playing the piano before he's caught out as the traitor, but I'm pretty sure that's not it.

Argh, I knew it was a WC song! Kudos for finding the specific song. I even got Jazz right, just wrong WC. 🤣
