Romero, waiting for was more enjoyable and exciting but didn't ejoy Daikatana gameplay much! Still and yet, Carmack's Quake franchise did effective impact on me. Best regards

A while ago I beat Ultimate Doom using the Chocolate Doom sourceport, and for an authentic experience, it almost can't be beat. I say "almost", because you could theoretically run the original DOS Doom engine in DosBox, but Chocolate Doom just makes things easier. Plus, it runs natively on modern OSes, so it should be a good option for low-power machines that struggle with running Doom in DosBox.
