My old/first one was just the plain jade falcon clan logo. Then I changed it to the one above of the flacon eating the wolf.

Anyway I changed it, it seems a few of are changing avatars so I'll jump on the band wagon. I like this one, but the last one was cool too. Not much to it, just a photo of a green falcon.

One of those funny illustrations that accompanied PC Magazine articles in the early '80s.
Previous one was from an Intel ad for the 8088...

I think it would be better not to limit potential group of readers without a reason. Also bear in mind some bots/people might automatically/manually restrict access to forum on some isps. That could be a potential loss to gaining some nice new forum readers.

My avatar (I actually added one after all these years!) is actually a furry thing. Several years ago these tilty-headed-blinking avatars were "all the rage" on one of the popular furry art websites (That I won't link here) and I had some artist do my fur character in it for like $10. I've kept it all these years and I've wanted to put it on vogons but I needed to have it resized and couldn't figure out how to resize an animated gif without destroying it. But someone recently helped me out and now it's here. So, yay.

It's been around for years.. since the 70's I believe. Just more common now that we have the interwebs. Some of us used to communicate via a furry-oriented BBS in the `90's based out of california.
