What does everyone think about all the revelations regarding the NSA currently?

Didn't surprise me tbh when it blew up in the media.

I'm on the fence that everyone deserves their privacy.

If CIA cant protect them selfs from hacker intrusions neither can you.
If you are afraid your personal data will be spied on, don't share it online. Simple as that.

Ah, but this goes beyond simple sharing in this modern age. You would more or less have to keep anything you didn't want out in the open on a flash drive or offline system, as well as have a system with no camera/mic since those can be remotely compromised.

Be afraid if you are into kiddie porn, a "Muslim Extremist", selling/buying drugs, weapons. Stuff like that. If you download videos, music, and games, I doubt the NSA cares about you. MESH Networks have my eye though as a possible replacement for the Internet. Or maybe just a added tool.

The rabbit hole goes down much deeper than most could accept and it is a bottomless pit of deception as well layered control. The mainstream media is a part of the system they use to control the masses plus there has been little privacy when it comes to mass communications on public accessible services.

I was one of the first to extol Edward Snowden as a hero when everyone else wanted him hung for treason. With each new revelation, more and more people have been coming over to my side. I think I am firmly in the majority now.

There is little we can do about it, except to hope that the people in power (possibly abusing power), don't fuck up for us.

I grew up thinking that timothy mcveigh & Ted Kaczynski, were crazy terrorists.

Now, I can sympathize with their beliefs.

the corporations run this country and in turn the world.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

I hope the majority don't feel the same way you do, or we are in very big trouble.

I say fuck the fucking fuckers. We know who's responsible. We have rope, and we have lamp poles and trees.

Always thought Enemy of the State was complete Hollywood nonsense. They can only monitor you with a sattelite (as far as photo/video reconnaissance) when it is right over head, they can't just move them around willy-nilly. I guess if they need that capability they would just use drones.
I never would have guessed they could monitor or store all the telephone communications (more or less) in the US. In light of recent events, my guess is they've been able to do this since at least the early 2000s. Maybe longer, if they've been storing low bit-rate audio. I imagine they have the ability to make their own custom DSP gear to reduce the requirements further.

While I do see the need for overseas espionage, I don't see the need for that at home. With a warrant, yes, targeted surveillance makes sense. But what they've got in place is a huge data-mining dragnet, and there doesn't seem to be much oversight as to its use.

I say let them look, just keep all the really good, juicy stuff offline (and feed false, misleading info to everyone you distrust 😜 )

I strongly agree with this; Ted Kaczynski, in particular, could still be in hiding if he wasn't betrayed by his own brother (he should have cut off family ties after he moved into the Montana backwoods in 1971).

Ooohh, the pain......
