Can someone recommend me a DOS text viewer and editor, with features like this:
1- Set word-wrap globally (without editing the text file)
2- C / Pascal / ASM Syntax highlighting (colors)
3- Optionally more then the default 25 lines, maybe a graphics mode.
4- Good use of screen space, e.g. an option to quickly hide scroll/menu/status bars
5- Somewhat portable, and usable in windows 9X.

Thanks in advance

SETEDIT is my text editor of choice. Not sure if it supports word wrap but syntax highlighting and custom resolutions (I run it at 132x60) are definitely supported. Hiding the scroll/menu bars is probably not supported but they only take 2 columns and 4 rows anyway.

I remember messing with SETEDIT quite a bit, should have all you need and more. It's been in development on and off for 18 years, so it's a pretty well-rounded editor by now.

[edit] heh, ninja'd.

I remember using a cracked version of Boxer, but it seems that Boxer continued development and now can be only obtained for Windows.

I have traveled across the universe and through the years to find Her.

Thanks guys!
I will try SETEDIT and BOXER for a while, and see how it goes.
Boxer says it is an evaluation copy.

Like Multi Edit lite they both have a word-wrap option, but again it does not work the way I expect it to.

Agreed, it is only in the stock text mode that every line and row is precious space.
