Well... actually not very far from that picture- Supposedly there were plans for triple board AAlchemy setups with 24 VSA-100 chips in total. Such amount and up to 32 chips can be linked together by the use of a 'pci bridge' (which the V5 6000 and the AAlchemys have) so there you go...
