Its an Microsoft Serial Mouse, and the left button has gone to the point where you have to force it down for it to register.
I was gonna try taking the button apart and seeing if the spring/copper plate needed to be adjusted.

Problems:
The button itself doesn't have the tab in the front of it, it has two small tabs on the side
I cannot get the board out of the mouse, since the horizontal detection part hovers over the board.

Anyone know if these are even the same type of buttons with a copper plate (and therefor if I'm wasting my time)?

They look similar to this (Different brand):

EDIT: In hopes that it helps: info on the botton:

Quite possibly a case of You Already Know This but I've found the point of the button where it contacts the switch is often what wears down first. A little bit of folded cello tape makes a fine quick-fix for those.

Actually i have to press down hard on the switch itself for it to register, which is why i ruled that out.
The right button, i can just press normally and it registers.

EDIT: Got the horizontal detection part removed, the holder can just be bent and the thing slides out.
