I have this complete dos 5.0 package, and i was wondering if that can be used fine with windows installed ontop of it or would it need dos 6.2?
These floppies havent been used so much so i was thinking of useing that on my older computers that needs dos.
Would i need the red wires to go first and then the black wires after?

Asuming you are talking a bout Windows 3.x, yes it will run fine on top of MS/PC Dos 5. I have that seup on my 286.

Not sure what your second question is refering to. PSU? If so Black/black face each other in the center on the mobo.

I mean i have placed the wire setup like this in the foto https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mzl3uFrfZ8A

and i mean above windows 3.x more in windows 98.

Windows 98 has it's own Dos and doesn't need versions 5 or 6 at all.

Live dangerously.

Look at the VERY clear pictures I posted. You have black to black as alexanrs mentioned so all's good.

Some mobos have these labled. What is the motherboard type you are using? There should be numbers an letters printed on it somewhere. The hdd lead could either plug into the mobo if it has onboard ide contoller or IDE/multi i/o card or possibly even on the hdd itself.

Post a pic of the mobo with all the cards pulled. Some one here might know what model it is.

Just put a pic of the board, if possible. Other users might have boards that look exactly like it, which would make it easy to identify.

Btw, if it doesn't have a model name on the board itself, it is probably one of those motherboards from cheap brands (PCChips, EFA, Luckytech, etc...). I'd try googling for PCChips boards (like the M598LMR) - as that brand was so widespread that it is relatively easy to find their specs - and compare them.
