I like listening to things I make, I must be narcissistic or something...

Honestly wish this mix was already in LISA.

Just recently decided to pull out my old 70's stereo equipment and started to get back into 60's and 70's jazz, funk and fusion jazz. I've always been a fan of 70's funk but was misguided as a youth and got into Disco. Now I'm going back and I'm finding I don't really care for a lot of the poppy Disco I used to like but instead like more jazzy funk and fusion jazz.

Here's an Example: Michael Naura - Black Pigeon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CBvcnk13Sg

Check me out at Transcendental Airwaves on Youtube! Fast-food sucks!

Sorry for bringing back this old tread. But since there are so many "What did" and "What are" treads, then why not keep this alive.
Well enough explaining.... More posting. 😉

Since I am a metal head, then I am always in the search of new bands. And for the last couple of month's I have been listening to various different bands. Now they are not you'r usual type of metal bands. It is slow and dark. So here we go:

Toner Low. It is a dutch band. There are three members. Two men one woman.
Black Capricorn. Italian band. (even more dark and slow) Two woman and one man.

I have little to no knowledge about what inspires Toner Low. Yet Black Capricorn is heavy inspired by archeology, christianity, old civilizations and local culture from were they are from. They have their origins on Sardinia Italy.

Sepultura - Arise. Good old Sepultura. This album have been playing on and off too. A masterpiece when it comes to trash metal. 😜

EDIT:
And of course, the usual stuff have been playing too.....
Carnivore - Retaliation Wonderfull. Just simply wonderfull.
Fallout Peter Steele and Josh Silver's band. Way before Type O Negative, and before carnivore.

Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.
Those cakes make you sick....

I have a 80's playlist so I am listening to things like...

Robert Tepper - No Easy Way Out
A-Ha - Take On Me
REO Speedwagon - Take It On The Run
Kenny Loggins - Danger Zone
Queen - Hammer To Fall
Iron Maiden - Run To The Hills

Right now I am listening to Dire Straits - Sultans Of Swing

Since it's the autumn and soon to be winter season, I've been listening to the more "darker" ambient tracks of the Aphex Twin discography:

On (28 Mix)
[hankie]
[tree]
[grass]
[spots]
Gwely Mernans
th1 [evnslower]

I also occasionally leave the BGM loops from 『.flow』 running in the background from time to time. There's also the "vandenberg airfield" from Deus Ex as well as "Forlorn" from the 7Bullets singleplayer campaign for Unreal Tournament (1999) I also frequently listen to during these times.

Most of the stuff I listen to either doesn't exist as a video on YouTube or the search algorithm cannot return relevant results to. You're better off perusing the ModLand FTP or ModArchive for some of the things I listen to that isn't "mainstream music" and still falls under what would be termed "dark ambient".

I normally just listen to late 70s/80's New Wave, 80's Hair/Glam Metal or Alternative.

I'll listen, but the band name sounds pretty gay.

First two albums are classics. At least one of those women *was* gay, though. 😉

Well, if it's a girl band, it's not gay I guess. But people will think *I'm* gay if they catch me listening to it. I'll check it out anyway though. Sometimes I listen to Cyndi Lauper when nobody is around.
