So I didn't post in Marvin because its not an old computer, but this is hardware. I need you the guru's to look at some pictures of the mainboard and power delivery board and tell me if you see anything wrong or any steps I should take.

The TV turns on but gets no power and no sound.

Probably capacitor plague. Replace all of the large electrolytics and it may work.

Oftentimes the caps in TVs and LCD monitors like that will be bad even though they're not bulging.

Is the TV LED or CFL backlit? I couldn't make it out from the pictures, you could try turning on the tv and using a flashlight on the screen to see if there is any picture. If the TV is CFL backlit, it may also have blown the inverter fuse.

i tried that as well as placing it in a completely blacked out environment and got nothing I scrubbed the board with isopropyl and I'll see if it's any better. I know from looking at it the system mainboard was repaired July 2010 by the marks on it in sharpie 🤣.

Can't tell from the photos, sorry.
But I would not jump into a recap job yet. it's likely something on the control/motherboard that stopping it from powering on.

To be honest we need better photos
