Is there any book about Unreal Engine 1?I found only about Unreal Engine 4?Modelling techniques within 3D Milk Shape support,animation techniques,C++ programming techniques,shading techniques,maps design techniques and...etc.I reckon it's not forum for modern game design like Cry Engine,Source Engine,Unreal Engine 4,Havok Engine...and etc.
Epic was only really open about external documentation starting from UnrealEngine2 (especially with tutorial DVDs made for that, UT2003/4 in particular). They had a complete wiki at one point which covered UE1 and 2 (both engines are literally related, unlike UE3/UE4) but most of it had a NDA lockdown for licensees only, with modder-interest specific articles being publicly available (probably unrealscript basics, and some UCC usage for a content pipeline iirc) .
