He doesn't care so long as he's not involved, mentioned on the site or if I use the user accounts or credentials or his domain. I also have permission to rehost and add to the falcon fly archive as well.

So,you are going to keep maintaining the forums Jade Falcon?

Do we really need FalconFly forums? I think what we really need is FalconFly archives to keep all the 3dfx and other drivers, while the forum part can be kept in archive mode (read-only mode) for references.

We probably don't need the forums, it was fairly dead. But I definitely plan to host the archive and add to it. There was a lot of 3dfx software missing from it. So many newer drivers missing and so on.
It didn't have any of the 64bit voodoo 1/2 drivers or newer sfft drivers off the top of my head and I'm sure there's more.

I offered straight from the getgo to take over, but I'd have to start fresh from scratch as the admin (do to privacy laws) will not let anyone simply take over. At the very least I'll host a archive of it. I have a HTML copy of the forums already. The way I look at it, if starting from scratch it will not quite be the same, the same name a layout is only a part of what made falconfly.de what it was. It's like when the X3dfx main site was brought back after the domain got shutdown, it just wasn't the same.
Before I bring it back in going to get with members of the 3dfx community and get a idea of what we want.
Right now 3dfxzone.it is really the only active English 3dfx forum left. The rest have ether been shut down or died after that trevormacro started a lot of fights.

Just a small but important Detail for anyone that already has or plans to build a functional Mirror of the 3dfx Archive :

Please be to kind to remove the following .htm Files from any live Mirror :
- impressum.htm (my Postal Address)
- contact.htm (my EMail Address)
- disclaimer.htm (an old - by now redundant requirement - of German telecommunication laws)

If those were to be maintained , I'd still be repeatedly contacted on 3dfx matters, worst-case when I'm since long in the retirement home already xD

Plus, I naturally take absolutely responsibility for any of the setup Mirrors, thus neither my postal Address or my EMail address shall be part of such Mirrors. Those Mirrors will be none of my business.
Feel free to admend/change the contact Information to reflect the actual Operator of the respective Mirror instead - or use blank pages (just to avoid 404 errors).

Should I find online Mirrors after Jul 2017 containing my Contact Info, I'd have to intervene due to legal and privacy reasons.
So please make sure these are removed or blanked with placeholder/empty content if you intend to run a live Mirror Smiley

Would like to add my thanks to those archiving this.

I have completely missed this - any chance someone has a more recent snapshot of the forum? this one is months old.

my last login was in January, and looks like I simply didn't spot the announcement. and then I didn't peek in for unusually long time, and now I'm a few days late to say farewell - a mail notification sure would have been nice.

There were only one or two posts in the last few months so nothing much is missed.

would like to see that announcement/farewell topic in its most complete form, what people said and perhaps where they went - though I'm quite sure that those who aren't already here are gone forever.

I regret for quite a bit that I wasn't there and couldn't say my final thanks and goodbyes to everyone - I was a regular, helped out with various things like the AGP.5 adapter, some fixes etc.. I should have been there. annoying RL issues.

I found a newer version that I archived. The size is a bit smaller but can see the forums have more posts, so I have put this online as well.
