ScummVM 1.8.1 on Windows NT 3.51

The following has been performed on the official scummvm-1.8.1-win32 install:

1. Extraction of files in the ScummVM installer.

2. Inclusion of DSOUND.DLL

3. Inclusion of MSVCRT.DLL

4. Inclusion of Mesa3D v6.32 OPENGL32.dll otherwise ScummVM will attempt to use the old OPENGL32.dll in SYSTEM32 and error out due to a missing function. You can replace this opengl32.dll with a newer one but ScummVM still would not start, I'm thinking likely because I'm running in a VM and don't have a OpenGL ICD installed. I'm thinking most people won't have a video card with OpenGL support with NT 3.51 anyway.....

5. Inclusion of this readnow.txt

AFTER INSTALL
*If you do not do the below then ScummVM will not launch.

1. Go to Control Panel->System
Under "User Environment Variables for "USER"" add the following:
USERPROFILE=C:\WINNT35\profiles\USER

Where USER=Your username.

2. Create the following folders under \WINNT35:
C:\WINNT35\PROFILES
C:\WINNT35\PROFILES\USER

Where USER=Your USERNAME

ScummVM implemented some kind of autoupdate functionality (opt-in) in 1.9.0 which is incompatible with NT 3.51.

Possibly also uses SDL2 which is incompatible with 3.51. Haven't checked if it uses SDL2 or not.

I only had a couple of hours free this weekend so I didn't get time to setup a compile environment but I'll look into doing that to strip the crap out.

Found the following on the internets:

That is stunning! I'll have to remember this for whenever I dabble with early Windows NT. I've very rarely found software that actually needs or is otherwise compatible with the likes of NT 3.51 or 4.0 though.
