Titan's "Overdrive 2" seems to have pwned the Sega Genesis/MegaDrive competition, final credits has a hysterical quip.

Can't wait to hear if any VOGONS members submitted any PC demos or otherwise. Have fun, my European friends! 😁

Overdrive 2 was awesome, but not sure if I like it better than the first one. Feels more like an evolution not a revolution.
The Apple 2 GS demo before it was really good as well.
Going to watch a few more later....

That was pretty mindblowing! Any other highlights?

This Amstrad CPC demo (Logon's Run, by Overflow / Logon System) is pretty amazing and probably blows away Overdrive 2 out of getting the unexpected out of a hardware platform:

An Atari Video Music demo, by TRSI, also premiered. First time ever at a demoparty. IIRC the box has a video chip, some TTL and no CPU. Barely counts, haha, but still:

That is...impressive. Congratulations to the authors, they deserve the cheers.

I missed this thread earlier, so I created my own for the small release I participated in, an oldskool executable music thing on IBM PC: Some 8088 action at Revision 2017
And yes, Overdrive 2 was the star of the party. A fine demo in every way: good graphics, abusing the hardware, nice music and a good overall flow and design.

The guys behind the mind-bending CPC demo Logon's Run just posted a "making of" page with some juicy details. 😁 Interesting stuff.
