Vintage Computer Federation is pleased to announce an expansion of the Vintage Computer Festival series to the Pacific Northwest.

The first VCF PNW will be held at Living Computers: Museum + Labs in Seattle, Washington on February 10-11, 2018. Seattle is a rich and vibrant tech hub with beautiful scenery and every variety of rain possible, but it has been missing the Vintage Computer Festival experience. With the cooperation of the LCM+L we are fixing that by providing a weekend full of interesting exhibits and even more interesting people in what is already a great destination.

In the next few weeks we will put out more formal calls for exhibitors, volunteers, and speakers. If you would like to chat feel free to reach out to me at michael@vcfed.org.

Vintage Computer Federation is a national user group serving collectors, hobbyists, and anyone interested in the history of computing. More information about the Vintage Computer Federation can be found at http://vcfed.org/. Living Computers: Museum + Labs provides a one-of-a-kind, hands-on experience with computer technology from the 1960s to the present. The LCM+L is online at http://www.livingcomputers.org/.

Thanks,
Michael, on behalf of the Vintage Computer Federation

Exhibitor registration for the first Vintage Computer Festival Pacific Northwest is now open!

See http://vcfed.org/wp/festivals/vintage-compute … ific-northwest/ for details about the show, and how to register.

Not exhibiting at the show? Come join us anyway! The show will be held February 10-11, 2018 at Living Computers: Museum+Labs in Seattle, Washington. Besides the exhibits we'll have a consignment area for buying and selling vintage gear.

PM me or email me at michael at vcfed dot org if you have questions you don't want to ask here.

Thanks,
Mike

We are still looking for exhibitors and speakers for VCF PNW in February. We'd like to get exhibitor registration wrapped up by the end of November so that we can move to the next phase of planning the event.

Scared to be a first time exhibitor at a VCF show? That is OK, I'm scared to be a first time producer of a VCF show! Email me with questions and we'll figure it out. It's our first show in Seattle so we're all "winging it" a little bit.

And remember, we'll have a consignment area. Want to pick up a sweet 486 gaming rig? This will be the place to find it. Need to get rid of a few machines or books? We can help with that too.

See http://vcfed.org/wp/festivals/vintage-compute … ific-northwest/ for details.

Where: Living Computers: Museums+Labs (Seattle, WA, USA)
When: February 10th and 11th, 2018
Registration deadline: December 10th, 2017 (About 2 weeks left)

We have about 15 registered exhibitors now. We are looking for a few more to fill things out and to ensure that if somebody drops out that the show doesn't look too thin. The exhibits span a wide range so it won't be a pure 8 bit gaming or a DEC heavy iron show.

If you are procrastinating about being an exhibitor then it is time to register ... If I can answer questions to help you decide then email me. This is our first time in Seattle; the bar is low so don't be too worried about having the perfect exhibit.

We are still looking for speakers too; the floor is pretty open. If you did something cool during your career or just want to share aspects of the hobby with others, this is a great place to do it. (I especially enjoyed Lyle's talk on repair and restoration at VCF West.)

Interested or know somebody who is? Check out at http://vcfed.org/wp/festivals/vintage-compute … ific-northwest/ . Please email me directly if you have questions or need encouragement.

Regards,

Mike Brutman
