Merry X-Mass and an early happy new year.

There has been ups and downs. People have gotten stuff they wanted all through 2017, and Vogons are better than ever. At least this is how I have experienced 2017 here.

Now.
I hope everyone will get what they wish for this year. And I wish you all a happy new year.

Just like last year....

Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.
Those cakes make you sick....

Here's to a safe and happy Christmas to you all. The temps are rising here (currently 30c (85f) at 8:50AM) and work is winding down - I love this time of year.

My retro project for the break will be attempting to put together a PIII tualatin system that I think I have the parts for.

Anyone else have a project / retro present from Santa to keep them busy?

Life? Don't talk to me about life.

Merry Winter holidays to you all!

I have a HP PA-RISC based machine that has NeXT installed on it. I plan to make it work. Last time I tried there was a problem with a PS/2 mouse.

I am also moving so all my collection will have to be cataloged and re-arranged. I get a much bigger location, yay!

Sounds toasty. Want some snow? 😁 Of course, I can just send you a picture and you can think cool thoughts.

Lots of things to do over the holidays. My AM2 Win98 machine turned out to be quite disappointing due to a lack of working drivers (that I could find) for the onboard PCIe Realtek GBE LOM. I've got an MSI KT4V-L and a Socket A Sempron 3000 that I'll try unlocking. If that works, we'll see how it likes a PCX2, Live 5.1, and Vortex 2 combination. 😎

Maybe he's sad about no longer making money off the eBay thread?

That sed, I'm not a big fan of the winter holidays. Also, 2017 has been an exceptionally bad year. I have no f**ks left to give.

I strongly disagree. Properly prepared french fries need no condiments.

I'm thinking of rebuilding my old IBM Netvista A40 with a CT4620 instead of the CT4830 that I've got in there now.

I don't know what it is about that PC, but I've built more customized images for it than any other box in my collection.

Thanks and Merry Christmas to you too!

Chao says Merry Christmas as well, as he plays with a toy plane on Christmas morning.

Festive Bunny wants to give you something as well.

And finally, here's an ornament of spiky-eared Pichu carrying a Jigglypuff ornament in the process of decorating a tree that I whipped together recently out of the same air-dry clay that bunny was made of.

Blessings to all this Christmas season. Shamino, good to see you. I've taken a leave here and there myself. 😊

That sounds way too fun. If only we didn't live all over the world...
