VCF_PNW_2018_masthead_small.jpg

VCF PNW 2018 is less than three weeks away. Come join us at Living Computers:Museum+Labs in Seattle on February 10th & 11th and enjoy 20 exhibits, six presentations, a panel discussion on restoring old hardware, and a consignment area for buying and selling vintage computer equipment. Details can be found at https://goo.gl/AUoLU2 or at VCFed.org.

The show is free with regular museum admission, and you get to enjoy the entire museum too!

-Mike

PS: Sadly, no PCjrs will be on display this year. We need to fix that for next year ...

I don't know if anybody from Vogons made it, but there is a short summary of the show here:

And a pile of pictures can be found here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/QPfZ4WXPdIdUo5gn2

There is a bit of overlap between Vogons and VCFed people, particularly when games are being discussed. I view programming old machines as a game/puzzle, so it works perfectly for me. 😀

I was there, there wasn't really much for me to do, but there were some enjoyable moments. The various floppy (and floppy-like) disks on the display counter sure were an interesting sight especially because I saw (and even held) some things that I'd never seen before in that area. I also bought a few interesting things at the consignment area, so I certainly had a good time there. 😀

Just curious ... you mentioned the consignment area. There were 20 exhibits including TRS-80s, Ataris, and some Commodore stuff. And of course there is the entire museum. What would you have liked to have seen more of?

(I can take an answer offline if that works better ...)
