Maybe some of you have been following this. It's not out yet, but I think it is an impressive feat. It looks incredible for just using the limited C64 color palette.

Wonder if the game'll be available on a cartridge? That is an amazing piece of work right there.

The thing with the cartridge is that it prevents you from having all the 64kb of ram available, whereas in floppy or cassette, you can use all

Something about that port doesn't seem right. I think it is the sheer number of knives that are dropped. My experiences with the MS-DOS port never give me as many.

The EasyFlash cartridge uses a bankswitched 8KB ROM window, so the loss of 8KB of RAM is not particularly acute. ROM is a lot faster to load than either floppy or cassette. Eye of the Beholder was previously released as a 1MB SNES cartridge, so it's quite possible to fit it on a 1MB EasyFlash cart.

What you see in that video is apparently still very early. It is not even close to done yet from what I understand.

Nice done, that port. However, I did take notice on the sound. It takes the SID to good use.

This looks pretty amazing. I've never played the original so can't comment on the accuracy, but it's a damn impressive port all the same. I've always thought the C64 palette is excellently suited to these pseudo-medieval dungeon crawlers. I'd love to hear that title music on my dual-SID machine.
