If 4K is lightweight, I don't know what my $473.77 is 🤣

My builds!
The FireStarter 2.0 - The wooden K5
The Underdog - The budget K6
The Voodoo powerhouse - The power-hungry K7
The troll PC - The Socket 423 Pentium 4

$1,704.12

First Steam game was of course Half Life 2 which was not a good time dealing with activation / updates with a dial up modem 😵

Life? Don't talk to me about life.

$635 on my "new" account (starting 2010). My original account probably not worth much since I really only had Half-life and CS related items I bought at best buy.

Of course there are other places to buy from that sell you discount steam keys with leftover sale key prices, that I may or may not use 😜

Sup. I like computers. Are you a computer?

Smart man. I should have just bit the bullet and switched to GOG 8-10 years ago instead of continuing with steam just for the convenience since I already had a few games in it.

ZERO. ZILCH. NADA.

I refuse to do business with online entities that force me to install a client with DRM, no matter how good the prices are, how unique or desirable the content is, or how benign and fair they claim to be 😠 . This is why I fully support GOG and their business model - no mandatory client with DRM, just the games with whatever extras they offer (70 for me so far 😈 ).

EDIT: And no, I don't pirate Steam or GOG games. I don't have to - or want to 😜

$2,837.97

I don't like steam due to the DRM but I do like games. Since games no longer come in boxes with manuals and goodies or even usually the complete product I wait until something is $20 or less to buy anymore. The value proposition has gone way down for me. I wonder how many other people feel the same and how much money publishers are leaving on the table going full digital.

Succesfully managed to avoid steam. 😀

As for GOG: I spend about € 220 for 167 games, of which 59 were free. Some of these were bundles of multiple games, Like Tomb Raider 1+2+3, but counted here as 1.

I also don't buy new anymore either. I'm not spending $60 on digital content that comes with no box, manual, posters, or duke nukem paperweights. Then they try to con you out of another $100 on day one "DLC".

1-2 years later its on sale for nothing. Minus The Witcher 3 which seems to never go under $20
